Pancake festival in Lumberton will benefit children

Tim Little from the Robeson-Lumberton branch of Kiwanis International joined News13 NOW at 9 a.m. on Tuesday to talk about the club’s upcoming pancake festival.

The 56th Annual Kiwanis of Robeson-Lumberton Pancake Festival will be Friday night, Nov. 9, and Saturday morning, Nov. 10. Hours on Friday night are 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday morning breakfast is from 7 to 9:30 a.m.

The pancake festival takes place at the Bill Sapp Recreation Center at 1100 N. Cedar St. in Lumberton. The cost is $7 for all-you-can-eat pancakes. Sausage is also offered on the side.

Money raised helps local organizations that work to improve the lives of children. After the fundraiser, the Kiwanis of Robeson-Lumberton will accept applications for grants, and the money raised will be distributed in grants to organization that help children.
