COLUMBIA, SC – According to officials with the SC Lottery, over 8,700 Pick 3 Players took home about $2.1 million in cash prizes Thursday.
Officials say one of the South Carolina Education Lottery’s most popular number combinations, 8 – 8 – 8, was drawn today and winners took home between $250 and $500 per play depending on how much they paid for their ticket.
The triple number combination is the Lottery’s most played sequence, with this drawing producing 16 times the number of winners compared to the previous day’s draw.
Thursday marked the thirteenth time 8 – 8 – 8 has been drawn by the Lottery. The last time 8 – 8 – 8 was seen was back in October of 2015.
The odds of winning are 1 in 1,000 and players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes at lottery retailers statewide.
