One person shot at Myrtle Beach oceanfront motel, suspect on the loose

MYRTLE BEACH (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach Police officers are investigating a shooting at an oceanfront motel early Wednesday morning.

Officers were on the scene at Summer Sands Motel at 1404 South Ocean Boulevard.

The call for a gunshot wound came in around 4:00 a.m.

Lt. Joey Crosby confirmed to News13 one person was wounded and taken to a hospital for treatment, and officers are still investigating the scene. Police said Thursday morning that they are looking for Igor Lourenco.

He is wanted for Attempted Murder, Kidnapping, and Attempted Armed Robbery.

Police ask that if you know the location or whereabouts of Lourenco, please call the Myrtle Beach Police Department at 843-918-1382 or your local law enforcement agency. 

Lourenco is considered armed and dangerous.

Police say they have no evidence or information that would lead them to believe that this incident is connected with bikefest.
