One person was killed after a hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning in Florence. 

According to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken, the crash happened at 1:45 a.m. in the 2000 block of South Cashua Drive in Florence. The victim is identified as 19-year-old Jordan Isaiah Stackhouse of Florence. 

Stackhouse was traveling north on Cashua on a bicycle when he was struck by a car. he was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. 

According to Lt. Mike Brandt with the Florence Police Department, officers arrested 17-year-old Phillip Tyler Frye. He has been charged with felony DUI, leaving the scene of a collision resulting in death, and being a minor in possession of liquor. He is currently out of jail on a $61,000 bond. 

Stackhouse’s body will be taken to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston for an autopsy.
