A woman has died after her car ran off the road in Marlboro County early Saturday morning.
Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown identified the woman as Rebecca Ainsworth. He said she was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Horry County where she later died.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, Ainsworth was traveling south on Salem Road just after 1 a.m. Saturday. She ran off the road and struck a ditch causing her car to flip and her to be thrown from the car.
Highway Patrol says she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
