One person hurt after Easter morning shooting

A shooting over Easter weekend sent one person to the hospital, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.

Florence County Sheriff’s Maj. Mike Nunn says deputies were called early Sunday morning to a reported fight at 112 W. Main St. in Timmonsville. While deputies were on the way to the scene, they learned a shooting had occurred.

One person was taken to a local hospital for treatment. An update on their condition has not been provided.

The Timmonsville Police Department is investigating the shooting alongside the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
