GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) – Corporal Sonny Collins says charges are expected for the driver of a pick up truck that hit and killed a moped driver in Georgetown County.
Collins says the pickup and the moped were traveling in the same direction on Hicks Road. He says the pick up hit the back of the moped.
Collins says he does not have the name of the pickup truck’s driver, but more information is expected Sunday.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol investigates.
The Georgetown County Coroner’s office identifies the victim as Donald Sumter, 50, of Hemingway.
