LUMBERTON, N.C. (WBTW)- According to the Lumberton Police Department, one person is dead and three others injured after a shooting early Saturday morning.
According to Captain Terry Parker, around 1:43 Saturday morning police responded to a call of shots fired at 152 Turner Mobile Home Park in Lumberton.
Captain Parker says officers arrived to find,Nathaniel Thompson, 25, with a gunshot wound and unresponsive. Police say two other men at the residence had life-threatening injuries and a 6-year-old child was also shot but the injuries are not life threatening.
Officers of the Lumberton Police Department along with assistance of Investigators, Mr. Erich Hackney the investigator for the Robeson County District Attorney’s office, and Special Agent Mark Oxendine for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are working leads on this case at this time.
Police say they can’t release any additional details at this time.
