MARION, SC (WBTW) – The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.
According to Sheriff Mark Richardson, one person is a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. The incident happened on Friendly Court in the Rains community.
Police arrested Dreako Deyone Young, 26, and charged him with Attempted Murder and Possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Young is being held in the Marion County Detention Center and is currently awaiting a bond hearing.
