SCRANTON, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Florence County.
According to Cpl. Sonny Collins, the crash happened around 4:30 a.m. Monday when the driver of a 2005 Chrysler van ran off the left side of Anderson Bridge Road near Scranton and hit a tree.
Collins said the driver died and was the only person in the van at the time of the crash.
Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken identified the victim as Lawrence Green, Jr., 56, of Coward.
