TIMMONSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, one person died Tuesday evening after a three car accident in Florence County.

Lance Corporal Matt Southern with the SC Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on US Highway 76 and Cartersville Highway.

According to Southern, a Florida man was driving a tractor trailer and ran a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 76 and Cartersville Highway, striking a second tractor trailer traveling through the intersection. After that collision, a 2010 Honda 4-door hit the two large trucks from behind.

The driver of the Honda died at the scene. Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken identified the victim as Jequillar Lachelle Spann, 37,of Lynchburg.
