DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – Tuesday Darlington track officials reported ticket sales were going well for this week’s race.
Darlington Raceway PR Director Dennis Worden says tickets for most of the 58,000 seats have been sold.
Worden also mentioned that the good weather forecast, the throwback paint schemes and the fact that it is Tony Steward’s last race at the tract are attracting fans to Darlington.
“We are really excited the way ticket sales are going. I think we are going to have a really nice crowd. Based on what you see week in and week out in NASCAR, I think we will have one of the better crowds of the year. “
The Southern 500 begins at 6 p.m. Sunday.
