FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A man’s body was discovered Tuesday afternoon at an abandoned mobile home in Florence, according to Florence County coroner Keith von Lutcken. He said investigators are treating the death as a homicide.
Florence County Sheriff’s Office Deputies received a call at about 4:53 p.m. to Starlight Lane off of Green Acres Road Tuesday afternoon.
SLED has joined the investigation because officers believe the deceased person, who has been identified as Deangelo Damone Reid, 22, of Summerville, may have connections to another county.
The Florence County Coroner’s Office says the cause of death is due to a gunshot wound.
An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday morning.
