DARLINGTON, S.C. (WBTW)- Thursday afternoon some off-duty Darlington police officers spent their day building ramps for elderly citizens.
The project was put together by a group of police officers called the Blue Saints of Darlington that was formed when a group approached their chief about getting more involved in their community.
“These officers are ecstatic just to see the look on the person face when their finished,” Lieutenant Kimberly Nelson said.
The Blue Saints have completed two projects so far and claim that they have many more community service efforts on their list.
