MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A New York man was arrested in Myrtle Beach Thursday on numerous child sex crime charges, according to the Attorney General’s Office.

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson says Eugene Croll, 68, of North Towanda, NY is charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor third degree.

The Horry County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, made the arrest. Assistance was provided by New York officials, when investigators in Horry County received a referral from the New York State Police regarding Croll’s involvement in an ongoing investigation regarding files of child pornography.

Croll was arrested in Myrtle Beach Thursday where computer-related items were seized for forensic examination. Croll was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 7:48 p.m. Thursday and is currently being held on a total $10,000 bond.
