NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A North Myrtle Beach man was arrested after police said he told them a bomb was at the White House.
According to a press release from the City of North Myrtle Beach, Justin M. McCoy, 25, was arrested Tuesday on charges of making a bomb threat or conveying false information about a bomb threat.
McCoy called NMB Public Safety Communications telling officers that there was a bomb in the White House and that there was a bomb in an undisclosed location in Charleston, SC, the release stated.
According to a police report, the defendant does have an extensive criminal history including a previous conviction for calling in a bomb threat along with threatening the life of a public official. There have not been any bombs located at or near the White House, the report stated.
