NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Due to a large increase in attendees to North Myrtle Beach’s free Thursday evening concerts, the city is no longer allowing golf carts to be parked in the Horseshoe on Main Street.
City spokesperson Pat Dowling says as the free concert series has become better known, attendance has grown to as many as 3,500 people per concert. The golf carts take up room that is now needed for seating.
Golf cart owners who have traditionally parked in the Horseshoe for the free Thursday evening concerts, must now find appropriate alternate parking, explains Dowling.
