After filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last week, Golfsmith International announced it would be closing twenty stores, including the location in North Myrtle Beach located at 2301 Hwy 17 S.
A Golfsmith media rep explained the company is working to streamline its retail services by focusing on the well-performing stores. The Myrtle Beach Golfsmith location, which opened in the spring of 2013, will remain open.
It was not immediately known if the Myrtle Beach store would have positions available for employees from the closing location.
