NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.- The firefighters of North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue received a brand new ladder truck this week according to city spokesperson Pat Dowling.

The truck, costing about $1.2 million, was paid for out of the city’s Capital Improvement Fund and will be paid off over the next two fiscal years.

Officials say it replaces a 1996 KME AerialCat.
