SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WBTW) – The North Carolina Tarheels made a late fourth quarter comeback to defeat South Carolina in the Shrine Bowl, 17-10.
With less than 30 seconds to play in the fourth quarter, Jack Davidson completed a touchdown pass to Thomas Hennigan to give the Tarheels the lead. Davidson finished with 2 passing touchdowns and 174 total passing yards.
For the Sandlappers, Jackson Williamson totaled 109 yards and 1 touchdown. Shiyun Smith had 96 total receiving yards.
Some local players made some tackles for South Carolina on defense, including Latta’s Davonta Porter (6), Georgetown’s Sheldon Billings (6), and Lake Marion’s Dvondre Robinson (4).
