Hey, beer-drinkers. Get excited.

NC Beer Month will return in April, and North Carolina invites everyone to “the State of Southern beer.”

This is the fourth annual celebration of NC Beer Month, and they’ve got plenty of beer activities planned.

There will be a celebration for the 30th birthday of the state’s oldest brewpub, Weeping Radish Farm Brewery.

Also, in April, 3 new breweries will be added to the state’s already large list of 150.

It’s true, North Carolina has the largest number of craft breweries in the South, and they’re proud of it.

Of course, you can’t forget the statewide beer festival, Hickory Hops, and all of the beer-infused festivities, like Boil and Bru, Brewgaloo, and the NC Beer Month Olympics.

Beer-drinkers can also enter the New Belgium’s CeleBEERtory Sweepstakes for a chance to win a weekend getaway.

This weekend getaway will include two VIP tickets to the CLIPS Film & Beer Festival plus a combo celebration of the Asheville brewery opening and New Belgium’s 25th anniversary with live music, quirky performances and surprises.

Also included are two nights lodging at the Hyatt Place Asheville Downtown, a $500 Visa gift card to help get you there, and a gift basket with beer, accessories and local beer products, courtesy of the Asheville Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Entry for the New Belgium’s CeleBEERtory Sweepstakes will continue through April 30th, and the winners will be chosen Aug. 26-27.
