FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Emergency crews were called to a fire at a Florence apartment Friday morning.

According to Captain Anthony Fox, the West Florence Fire Department was dispatched to 725 S. Parker Drive for a reported apartment fire at 10:13 a.m.

One engine, one ladder, one rescue truck and 10 firefighters responded to the two story apartment complex.

Fox says on arrival, firefighters could see smoke outside the house. Firefighters made entry to the apartment and were able to quickly control the fire and limit damage to the apartment where the fire started.

There were no reported injuries at the time of the fire and Florence County EMS and the Florence County Sheriff’s Office were on scene as well.

Officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
