NICHOLS, SC (WBTW) – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what it is calling a home invasion, deadly shooting, and armed robbery.
It happened Monday around 9 p.m. at a home on Pee Dee Island Road near Nichols.
Sheriff Mark Richardson says witnesses report two or three masked men entered the home, shot the victim, and robbed and assaulted one of the other men in the home.
Deputies haven’t made any arrests, but are following some leads.
Marion County Deputy Coroner James Lee said an autopsy performed Wednesday showed 33-year-old Manasses Paige, of Nichols died from a single gunshot wound to the chest.
