Researchers say an effective weapon in the fight against the Zika virus might be another mosquito born disease. Scientists from the U.S. and Thailand say that people infected with Dengue fever develop antibodies that cross react with Zika. Patients who take opioids for chronic pain could also be prescribed a drug that can reduce adverse effects. A report in the Annals of Internal Medicine says the drug Naloxone often used in emergency rooms to treat opioid overdoses can be co-prescribed with the drugs, possibly reducing ER visits and overdose deaths.
