PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WBTW) – A tweet from the Pawleys Island Police Department revealed a new scam affecting residents of Georgetown County Monday.
The police department says that scammers are calling people and identifying themselves as a member of the Pawleys Island police force claiming to have an arrest warrant from the IRS.
Officials confirm that these calls are nothing but a scam.
