MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Recent changes made by Facebook is impacting the “news” you receive daily in your news feed from WBTW and other news agencies.

“Our top priority is keeping you connected to the people, places and things you want to be connected to — starting with the people you are friends with on Facebook. That’s why today (June 29), we’re announcing an upcoming change to News Feed ranking to help make sure you don’t miss stories from your friends, said Lars Backstrom, Engineering Director for Facebook.

What does this mean for those of you who want to see actual “news” stories from WBTW News13 in your news feed?  You will see fewer stories from us in your feed unless you make a simple adjustment.

Scroll down for the easy steps you can take to make sure you continue to see all of the WBTW News13 Facebook posts in your news feed.  And of course, you will still see posts from your friends and family!For Desktop users:

Go to WBTW News13’s Facebook page. (Make sure you “like” the page). Hover over the “Liked” button.  Then select “See First.”  You’re done!

For Mobile device users:

Go to WBTW News13’s Facebook page.  Click “Following.” You will then see options to choose. Select “See First.” You’re done!
