Coast RTA is moving forward with hiring its new general manager.
On Tuesday night, Horry County Council gave its approval for Brian Brian Piascik’s contract.
That vote .. was part of the county’s current funding agreement with the bus service.
Coast RTA Spokeswoman Michelle Cantey says its board of directors will meet Friday to continue discussions on the contract.
Until then, negotiations on the contract will continue.
Canty says Piascik could start as early as this month.
