A man is facing new charges Friday after shooting a man twice outside a Williamsburg County store on Thursday afternoon, officials said.

Nathaniel Louis Graham, age 53, of Friendship Road in Nesmith, SC was arrested on by deputies and charged with Attempted Murder, said Sgt. Juan Ballard of the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office.

On Friday, officials said that Graham shot the victim twice while the victim sat in a car outside the Red Dog Express Store at 2442 Hemingway Highway at the intersection with Tupperware Road, just west of Hemingway, according to arrest warrants.

“Graham and the victim had a dispute in the parking lot when Graham allegedly retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and shot at the victim, striking the victim in the arm and shoulder,” according to Ballard.

Graham used a a .38 caliber revolver handgun in the incident that happened just before 6 pm, according to a warrant.

Graham then fled the scene in his own vehicle, an arrest warrant says.

On Friday, authorities said that Graham was also now facing a charge of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

  The victim is being treated at an area hospital for the gunshot wounds.

Graham was booked at the Williamsburg County Detention Center.
