NC police seek missing woman after car breaks down

FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Fayetteville police are asking the public to help them find a woman who vanished more than a week ago after the vehicle she was driving broke down.

Lydia Audrey Wright, 30, was last seen Nov. 13 near the Sunoco at 1937 Cedar Creek Road in Fayetteville, according to Fayetteville police.

About 2 p.m. that day, she was seen by her father, after the breakdown.

She opted to stay with the vehicle, police said, and hasn’t been seen by her father since.

She was was reported missing by her family Nov. 18.

Police described Wright as a white woman, 4 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 115 to 120 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a long-sleeved beige top, blue jeans and tennis shoes, police said.

Wright frequently goes by Audrey, rather than Lydia, police said.
