MAXTON, N.C.  – A man has been charged with the weekend killing of a North Carolina mom whose toddler son died in an accidental shooting just last month.

Evelina Dial, age 23, from Maxton, is the victim of the murder that happened over the weekend, according to Robeson County Sheriff Kenneth Sealy.

Dial was found in a wooded area  off Nina Drive in Maxton on Sunday afternoon.

Dial’s 3-year-old son Manal “Cash” Abdelaziz  died on Jan. 10 after he found a gun kept behind the counter of a Lumberton business owned by his dad. The boy, who was known as “Cash,” accidentally shot himself.

In Evelina Dial’s death, deputies have arrested 27-year-old Timothy Wade Locklear of Maxton,

Locklear, of Shady Lane in Maxton is charged with first degree murder, attempted first degree rape, burning personal property, and altering and destroying evidence.

The father of the little boy who died last month, Manal Abdelaziz, age 56, owns Brother’s Minit Shop at 2205 Martin Luther King Drive in Lumberton where the little boy’s deadly shooting occurred.

Evelina Dial’s body was found after someone called 911 on Sunday saying they discovered her body.

Bond for Locklear is set at $100,000 for all charges except murder. No bond has been set in that charge.
