Hormel Foods is recalling close to 228,614 pounds of canned pork and chicken products, according to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The 12 ounce metal cans of “SPAM Classic” and “Hormel Foods Black Label Luncheon Loaf” may contain pieces of metal.
Both recalled products have a “Best By” date of February 2021.
The affected production codes of the SPAM Classic include: F020881, F020882, F020883, F020884, F020885, F020886, F020887, F020888 and F020889. These were shipped throughout the United States.
The affected production codes of the Luncheon Loaf include: F02098 and F02108. These were shipped to Guam only.
Hormel Foods has received complaints of minor oral injuries from people who have consumed the products.
