ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) – If you have plans to visit any of the Disney theme parks in the near future, you should know about some big changes to park policies concerning smoking and strollers.
Beginning May 1, 2019 the following changes will go into effect:
- Smoking will not be allowed inside any Disney park. This includes the Disney theme parks, water parks and the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex. According to the Disney website, guests can use designated smoking areas outside the parks, at Disney Springs, and at Disney Resort hotels. Smoking and vaping are only allowed in these designated areas.
- Strollers must be 31” wide and 52” long or smaller. Stroller wagons will not be permitted. Strollers are available for rent at Disney parks. The changes were made to improve guest flow at the parks and reduce congestion.
- As of March 28, loose and dry ice is no longer allowed in Disney parks. Reusable ice packs are recommended. Cups of ice are available for free at food and beverage locations in the parks. The change was made to improve guest flow, according to the Disney website.
