GREENVILLE, S.C. – Twenty people were arrested in Greenville County for their involvement in a prostitution sting.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, along with 37 other agencies throughout 17 states, participated in the event during National Day of Johns Arrest. A “John” is an individual who seeks prostitutes and exchanges money for sex.
The operation took place from January 15th through February 1st. Twenty-three men were taken into custody on charges of pimping, trafficking or promoting prostitution.
