We now know the names of four people taken into custody following a police chase that ended in the Hucks Road and 701 area in Horry County.

Horry County Police have arrested Trustin Di’Jontra Brown, Chrishawn Sanders, Julie Suba and Shaquille Kayson Blakeley in connection to the case. All four face one charge of possession of a stolen vehicle, each.

According to Captain John Harrelson with the Horry County Police Department, law enforcement tried to stop a vehicle matching the description of a car reportedly involved in a shooting on Hemingway Chapel Road and another in the Juniper Bay Road area of Horry County.

The vehicle wouldn’t stop and a chase began, Harrelson says. During the chase, a handgun was thrown from the car and later recovered by detectives. The chase ended in the area of Hucks Road and Highway 701.

Harrelson also says four suspects were detained and police searched for one more suspect. Horry County Police Department’s dog team had been dispatched to find the suspect. Police are also used “air assets”, including a drone with an infrared camera, to assist in the search.

That suspect was the driver of the car. Police describe him as a black male wearing a white tank-top.

The search was called off just before 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Harrelson says that though the search was called off detectives will continue to investigate and attempt to identify and apprehend the driver.

Harrelson also thanked The Horry County Sheriff’s Office, Horry County Fire Rescue, Aynor Police, Loris Police, Conway Police, Horry Electric Cooperative, and SLED for their assistance in the search.
