FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Few details have been released after a shooting in Florence County killed a teenager Thursday morning, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
Florence County Chief Deputy Glen Kirby says the shooting happened sometime after 2 a.m. at a home on Williston Road.
The shooter went into a mobile home and shot and killed a 16-year-old victim. Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken says the victim was 16-year-old Tyus Burnett. An autopsy revealed Burnett died from gunshot wounds.
Officials have not commented on a motive for the shooting or identified a suspect.
