MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving multiple vehicles Thursday morning in Horry County.
According to the SCHP website, the crash happened around 7:22 a.m. on US 17 Bypass near Shetland Lane just before the Myrtle Beach Airport.
Horry County Deputy Coroner, Michelle McSpadden identifies the vicim as Heidi Grant, 37 of the Myrtle Beach area.
Grant died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Two others were reported entrapped but no word on their conditions.
At least two vehicles appeared to be involved in the crash.
Northbound lanes of US 17 Bypass were backed up to the Backgate area.
