The Local Brews and Local Grooves Festival at the House of Blues is Saturday, March 21.

The festival will allow 4 oz. tastings of breweries visiting from states across the Southeast. It will also feature Myrtle Beach’s own New South Brewery.

“As we go through more and more of the beer festivals going on, folks are realizing that rather than pulling from breweries all over the country, we have enough great beer being made just here in the southeast,” said David Epstein, who owns New South Brewery.

He says he’s had busy years since the craft beer industry gained popularity recently.

The event will also feature music by local artists and food.

The event starts at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are required to enter the festival to enjoy the music. For food and beer tastings, visitors must purchase wrist bands or tasting tickets.
