MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Cookie Canty Goings joined News13 NOW at 9 a.m. on Thursday to talke about an upcoming jazz appreciation concert in the city. The event is Sunday, April, 8, 2018 at Chapin Park. Goings said spectators should remember to bring their own lawn chairs, and she added food and drink will be available.

Bring a lawn chair and enjoy live jazz entertainment in the park in celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 8. Jazz Appreciation Month is intended to stimulate and encourage people of all ages to participate in jazz – to study the music, attend concerts, listen to jazz on radio and recordings, read books about jazz, and more.
The City of Myrtle Beach celebrates jazz with performances from local artists at Chapin Park, located at the corner of Kings Highway and 16th Avenue North.
