MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The Myrtle Beach High School boys tennis team is just one team win away from a state championship. This coming through some late season adversity as head coach Rivers Lynch passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 28th. The long time coach was regarded by many as a friend, mentor, teacher, and all around great person that touched many people’s lives. He coached both the boys and girls teams at Myrtle Beach over the last couple decades.
The Seahawks will face AC Flora on Saturday morning in Columbia with a shot to bring home their 10th ever state championship in tennis. The last one came back in 2009.
