Myrtle Beach teen charged with criminal sexual conduct in incident involving 3-year-old girl

A Myrtle Beach teenager has been charged with criminal sexual conduct in an incident involving a three-year-old girl. 

According to an incident report from the Horry County Police Department, officers responded to a hospital in Horry County on Oct. 5. Officers spoke with a forensic nurse who reported minor injuries to the child. 

Officers also spoke with witnesses, who reported the suspect had been watching the child on the morning of Oct. 4, the report says. The witnesses also reported the child has made complaints that the suspect had inappropriately touched her. DSS was notified and a detective took over the investigation. 

The suspect is identified in the report as 18-year-old Christopher McAndrew of Lakeview Circle in the Myrtle Beach area. 

According to J. Reuben Long Detention Center booking records, McAndrew was booked around 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday and remains in the center. He is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 in the first degree. No bail has been set.
