From booze and bikinis to mittens and mountains, spring breakers are taking over the hottest spots in America — and two recent surveys seem to rank Myrtle Beach somewhat differently as a Spring Break destination.

For Dating Advice’s most study released Tuesday, they used student popularity, amount of fun activities and restaurants and several online surveys to determine the 19 Sexiest Spring Break Destinations in America.

Meanwhile, the Coed website late last month ranked the 20 most “trashy” Spring Break Destinations — and Myrtle Beach landed in a high spot (or low, depending on your viewpoint) on that list.

No surprise here: Florida is home to the most spring break destinations that were dubbed as sexy, nabbing 10 out of the 19 spots on the list. The options stretch across the state, reaching from the Northern Panhandle to the Southern Keys.

South Carolina also snagged multiple spots on the list. The state’s sexy sandbars and striking sunsets make it equally spring break-worthy.

Coming in at #5 for sexy is Myrtle Beach. The Dating Advice website said “Head there for both seaside and alfresco adventures. Start the day with outdoor ziplining, trek to the local haunted house for an eerie afternoon and finish the evening with date night at a beachfront resort.”

Meanwhile Myrtle Beach was ranked #3 on the Coed website’s Most Trashiest list of destinations — there doesn’t seem to be a list of criteria.

“Not only are there tons of beachside condos available for renting, but the booze is cheap, the water is warm, and it’s host to one of the greatest bike weeks in the United States of America,” the Coed website said in its ranking.

The only two places that out ranked Myrtle for trashiness were Las Vegas and Panama City, Fl.

Also… on the sexy list: other vacation destinations offer definitive proof that beaches aren’t the only way to keep spring break sexy, such as Henderson, Nevada, and Killington, Vermont. Skiing and desert hiking await.
