MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A New York woman has filed a missing person’s report for her mentally ill sister after she was denied access to an airplane because of her behavior, accord to an incident report from Myrtle Beach Police.

Officers were contacted by the victims sister, who lives in New York, Friday morning. The woman told police that her sister, 49-year-old Susan Musella, could not be reached. Musella planned to fly to New York Thursday, but was not allowed on the plane because of her behavior, according to the police report.

Officers contacted Lighthouse, where Musella had been staying since mid-May, but health officials told officers that Musella was no longer staying at the facility. Officers also checked Waccamaw Mental Health and Grand Strand Regional Hospital, but could not located Musella, the report states.

Musella has been entered into the National Crime Information Center’s database of missing endangered, the police report states. Anyone with information on Musella’s location is asked to call the Myrtle Beach Police Department at 843-918-1300.
