Myrtle Beach pizza delivery man robbed at gunpoint

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Police say a pizza delivery man was robbed at gunpoint around 1 a.m. on Monday at an Ocean Boulevard resort.

According to a Myrtle Beach police report, a Mama Mia’s pizza delivery man was bringing a pizza to an online customer staying in room 133 at Captain’s Quarters Resort, located at 901 South Ocean Boulevard. When the delivery man arrived at the customer’s door, he knocked several times, but no one answered. While the pizza delivery man was waiting for the customer to answer the door, he noticed a man leaning on a nearby railing acting suspicious, according to the police report.

The customer did not answer, so the pizza delivery man headed back to his car, according to police. The robber met the delivery man at the car and pushed a gun into the victim’s stomach, threatened to kill him and said “give me everything you got.” According to the report, the victim gave the robber his pizza bag, then the robber fled eastbound through the 9th Avenue South beach access.

Police say a hotel employee told them nobody was staying in room 133.

The robber is described as a black male, 5’11”, who has a walking abnormality. He was last seen wearing all black.

Police have not identified the robber.
