COLUMBIA, SC (Press Release) – A Myrtle Beach man’s text got his family’s attention. Attached to the message was a photo of a $200,000 winning ticket.
He sent the text the morning following his win and messages of congratulations poured in.
“They were all happy for me,” the winner said.
He was happy too, having won the top prize on a $10 Cash Vault ticket that he scratched in his car outside Dodge’s Store #871 on Hwy. 17 in North Myrtle Beach.
“This has opened my eyes,” he told lottery officials awaiting a check for his winnings at the Columbia Claims Center. “Maybe some of my good deeds are being rewarded.”
Next he’s going to take a chance on a new home.
As of this release, four top prizes of $200,000 remain in the Cash Vault game. Odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 600,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, Dodge’s Store #871 in North Myrtle Beach received a commission of $2,000.
