CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – An Horry County Jury found a Myrtle Beach man guilty of murder and a weapons charge following a four-day trial in Conway.
Circuit Court Judge Larry Hyman sentenced 54-year-old Robert Carl Ware to life in prison following the convictions.

Senior Assistant Solicitor Stephen Grooms prosecuted the case and said that Ware was convicted in the death of Randy Banks, 49, of Myrtle Beach.RELATED: One dead after overnight shooting at Myrtle Beach resort
Ware shot and killed Banks on Aug. 7, 2014, at the Wave Rider Motel in Myrtle Beach, Grooms said. Banks’ girlfriend, Sabrina Boatwright, was an important witness who testified in the prosecution of Ware during the trial.
Judge Hyman sentenced Ware to life in prison for the murder conviction and five years in prison for possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, Grooms said.
