Myrtle Beach man beaten with club after asking for paycheck

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A Myrtle Beach man was beaten Wednesday night after confronting his boss for unpaid work, according to a police report.

Myrtle Beach police officers were called to Tuscanini’s Restaurant, located at 206 7th Ave. North, at 11:30 p.m. for an assault. When officers arrived, the victim, a 55-year-old man, told officers he went to the restaurant to speak with the suspect about unpaid work.

The victim told police he had not been paid for 94 hours of work, for which he was owed $9 per hour, the report states.

While the victim was speaking to the suspect, later identified as 47-year-old Adel Nassr Mansour, Mansour went into the restaurant and returned with a club in his hand. Mansour hit the victim in the arm and over his back several time, the report states.

The victim had obvious bruising, the officer notes, and police were able to pull up nearby city surveillance cameras to verify the victim’s story.

Mansour was arrested and charged with assault and battery third degree.
