MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) — A nationwide community walk for suicide prevention is coming to Myrtle Beach. “Out of the Darkness” seeks to increase awareness for suicide prevention and raise funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Co-chair for the event, Valerie White, lost her 26-year-old daughter, Megan, in 2011. White joined Erica Edwards on News 13 Now Friday to share her story and passion for the event.

The “Out of the Darkness” Community Walk takes place Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Broadway at the Beach, beside Margaritaville.
