MYRTLE BEACH S.C. (WBTW)- Tuesday the Myrtle Beach Public Works staff will be signing the east side of Ocean Boulevard north of 31st Avenue a no parking zone, and eliminating 60 parking spots city of Myrtle Beach spokesman Mark Kruea said.

The area was previously designated for decal parking only to slow the influx of summertime parking but now warning tickets will be issued for people that park in the area for the next week.

Kruea also said a few spots near the Gardens by the Sea Park will now be paid parking, via the Parkmobile system.

Officials say firm enforcement for the rest of Ocean Boulevard and in the Avenues begins today.
