MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) The Myrtle Beach Convention Center hosted the NYAA Cheer Nationals.
Teams from all over the United States came to Horry County for the event.
Tara Waldo the head coach of WBE Cheer says it’s not an easy road to get to this point. She described the moment when she found out the team was named national champs.
“To have that feeling not only as a cheerleader but as a coach it’s just so special because like they work so hard all year,” Waldo said. “It’s that fulfillment and just like utter joy.”
Tara says the team really enjoyed the facilities in Myrtle Beach.
Next year’s competition is scheduled to happen in Las Vegas.
