GEORGETOWN, SC (WBTW) – A duo of armed robbery suspects arrested in Myrtle Beach in late April are now facing charges in Georgetown County for an identical crime.

Public Information Officer Carrie Weaver says the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office has charged Jamaine Donnell Wilson, 43, and Lauren Rochelle Tucker, 21, in connection with an armed robbery. Deputies say Wilson went into a home on Wesley Road in Murrells Inlet around 9:30 a.m. April 22 and asked about possible employment.

Wilson then pulled a gun and hit the victim several times before forcing the victim through the home in search of valuables, deputies say. The victim escaped from the suspect and a witness told investigators that they saw Wilson run out of the home and get into a 4-door Toyota car, with a woman in the passenger seat.

The victim of the armed robbery saw Wilson’s mugshot on television after Wilson was arrested in Myrtle Beach for a similar crime. Wilson is charged with kidnapping, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, armed robbery and assault and battery first degree.

Tucker, who was also arrested in April by Myrtle Beach police for armed robbery, faces one count of armed robbery in the Murrells Inlet incident.
